A small kindergarten where a child can be a child
A music-focused private kindergarten in Tiskre — a cosy house, small groups and dedicated teachers since 2003.
Lõvimeri is a music-focused private kindergarten in Tiskre — a small, cosy and homely place where a child can grow in a safe, creative and caring environment. For us, kindergarten isn't just somewhere a child spends the day; it's a genuinely warm and familiar world a child wants to come to.
The atmosphere at Lõvimeri is homely and calm — life feels like being at Grandma's in the countryside. Children have time to notice, explore, play, ask, try and discover on their own. In a small kindergarten we truly reach every child and can support their growth at exactly the pace that suits them.
Our everyday life weaves together play, music, creativity, outdoor time, practical activities and first-hand experience. We believe childhood isn't a rush to the next stage but a valuable time in itself, when courage, independence, kindness and the joy of learning are planted.
We look beyond the frame.
Every child is different. Our job is to notice their strengths, interests and needs, and to encourage them to try, create, question, make mistakes and try again.
To create a child-friendly learning environment where play, activity, creativity and direct experience support each child's growing independence — and prepare them for life, not just for school.
Childhood is valuable in itself — a person grows through play.
Play is a child's natural way of learning and making sense of the world. We want to hold the natural rhythm of childhood.
Small groups
Lõvimeri is deliberately small. Our groups are carefully composed so every child is genuinely seen — no one gets lost in a crowd, and each child gets the time, space and adult attention they need.
Dedicated teachers
Qualified specialists who are truly present with the children all day. Alongside our group teachers, the house welcomes a woodwork teacher, robotics teacher, dance teacher, language teacher, music teacher and instrument teacher — so every child touches many creative worlds.
A child-led curriculum
Our teaching follows a simple idea — what a child hears, they forget; what they see, they remember; what they experience themselves, they truly know. That's why our children are always moving, doing, touching and discovering.
Music as a tool for growth
Music is a natural part of every day. Our goal isn't to raise musicians, but to use music to support each child's whole development — listening, focus, memory, rhythm, language and cooperation all grow through singing, playing and movement.
A caring speech therapist
An experienced speech therapist works with us and runs a speech screening at least once a year to spot developmental needs early. We don't label children — we support them calmly, in time, and in partnership with their parents.
Ongoing development conversations
Development conversations don't only happen once or twice a year — we talk to parents the moment a child or family needs it. Weekly summaries keep parents close to their child's daily life even when they aren't in the house.
Play is a small child's work
At Lõvimeri, children learn through play. Reading, writing, counting and drawing arise naturally once a child is drawn into play. We don't rush children into the next stage — we hold the rhythm of childhood.
The Sleepless Club
When a child no longer needs an afternoon nap, the Sleepless Club is waiting — a quiet hour of books, crafts, warm conversation or outdoor play, so every child can rest in the way that suits them.
Healthy, homely food
We have our own kitchen and our own cook. Menus follow the Estonian seasons, and when needed we offer special menus that consider particular dietary needs and important restrictions communicated by the family. We find an individual solution for every child.
A kindergarten that feels like a second home
Our house is small and cosy — the kitchen and dining room feel like home, the group rooms are warm and the outdoor area has its own character. Life at Lõvimeri is like being at Grandma's in the countryside: calm, warm and familiar.
A confident start to school
Almost all of our graduates have gone on to the schools their families chose — English College, Reaalkool, Vanalinna Hariduskolleegium, Rocca al Mare School and others. More importantly, they start school as self-assured, curious and creative little people.
Room for individuality
We have experience with children who need support with age-appropriate speech development or with learning Estonian as a second language. We approach each child individually and work closely with the family.
