Why Lõvimeri?

12 reasons to choose us

The strengths of our kindergarten in one place — why parents have trusted their children to Lõvimeri for more than 20 years.

Small groups

12 children in the toddler group, 15 in the kindergarten group and 14 in the pre-school group. In a small group every child can be seen, their individuality respected, and truly child-led learning made real.

Highly regarded teachers

Qualified specialists devoted to their work. Supported by our woodwork, robotics, dance and language teachers.

A distinctive curriculum

What a child hears they forget; what they see they remember; what they experience they know. Our children are always on the move — museums, theatres, hiking trails, sports halls.

A focus on music

Music belongs to every day. Alongside group lessons there is chime-bar playing, instrument lessons and rhythm class. By the end of kindergarten each child has basic skills on at least one instrument.

A caring speech therapist

An experienced speech therapist runs a screening at least once a year to catch language and communication needs early. Individual sessions when needed — noticed calmly, in partnership with the parents.

Ongoing development conversations

We hold development conversations whenever a child or parent needs them — not just twice a year. Photos, videos and weekly summaries keep parents close.

Play, play and play again

Play is a child's work. Reading, writing, counting, drawing, eating and social skills are all learned faster through play.

The Sleepless Club

When a child no longer needs an afternoon nap, the Sleepless Club awaits — a quiet hour of books, toys or instruments.

Healthy food

Our own kitchen and our own cook. A menu based on Estonian seasonal ingredients, with special menus when needed to fit each child.

A kindergarten that's a second home

A small, cosy house, a homely dining room, warm group rooms and a distinctive outdoor area where in summer children can run barefoot and eat berries.

A strong start for school

Our graduates have gone on to English College, Reaalkool, VHK, Gustav Adolf Grammar School, the French Lycée, Rocca al Mare School and private schools abroad.

Room for children with special needs

We have experience supporting age-appropriate speech development and Estonian as a second language. We are proud of the children whose needs go unnoticed by the time they reach school.
